Our Core Services

ACS has years of experience in a wide range of construction consultancy services. Our core services are Inherent Defect Warranty Auditing and Clerk of Works. We work with both small scale ‘self build’ projects and large ‘Developers’. Services can help with all aspects of your construction project, from initial planning to final completion.

Clerk of Works Services

At ACS, our Clerk of Works services support the Golden Thread Construction. Our CoW will be responsible for inspecting the workmanship, quality and safety of work on construction sites and reports back to senior managers and clients. Our CoW conducts regular site inspections and checking that building plans are being followed correctly. We check that work is being carried out to the correct specifications and legal, safety and environmental standards. We endeavour to deliver the highest possible quality of service. This is why we encourage all our Clerk of Works to achieve and maintain professional accreditation by the institute of Clerk of Works and abide by the ICWCI Code of conduct.

Inherent Defect Warranty Auditing

Underpining UK construction in residential and commercial markets, a new build warranty is almost always a prerequisite of the construction process as required by Lenders, Funders, Developers and end user Mortgage providers. Warranties also referred to as a structural warranty, inherent defect warranty or latent defect warranty are typically a 10 year or 12 year insurance product, CML approved, backed by A rated insurers regulated as part of Lloyds of London. As part of the warranty process, ACS will inspect the project at various key stages in order to review and ensure compliance to regulations and building warranty standards. At completion of the project, ACS will work with the project beneficiaries to approve the warranty with the UK warranty providers.

I used ACS in London for all my building reg needs during my self build. Prior to this, I had no ideas what I was doing and did not even realise you could appoint a private Building Reg. They guided me every step on the way, I could speak to someone over the phone very easily and found them very responsive and customer service orientated. Do you operate nationwide?
Yes, of course. We have surveyors working across the country, covering all areas. Our head office is in London, and we have a second office in Manchester, however most of work is done on at the clients project site.
Do you offer a free, no obligation quotation?
Yes. For a quote, all you need to do is reach out to us. Ideally a phone call will provide you with the most accurate answers. Sometimes we can give you an idea of cost over the phone, however sometimes we are required to visit the site.
